My younger years were spent in the beautiful Flint Hills of Eastern Kansas, A lot of my summer's were spent with my Aunt, a self taught, wonderfully talented, pen and ink sketch artist. She was a big influence in my life, my love of Art and the world around me.

Like most young women, the early part of life is consumed with family, work and other commitments. I finally found time, about nine years ago, to start something I had always dreamed of, sculpting. I work mainly in clay, although I have done some stone. Most of my work has been of the realistic figurative type. I have also done some mold making and casting with Hydra Stone.

I am the type of person who, no matter the subject of my interest, wants to know and learn all there is to know about that subject. I have found, no matter how much you know, there is always more to learn.

To me the face, especially the eyes, say so much about a person. Happiness, sadness , loneliness, love etc. "The eyes are the windows of the soul" and I have tried to capture these emotions in my works.
